Strategy Meeting Politics & Administration
After the citizens' report has been completed, the Citizens' Assembly recommendations should be examined for their political feasibility as soon as possible in the Strategy Meeting for Politics and Administration. This requires dialogue between politics and administration in order to examine the next steps towards binding committment through rules, laws, political initiatives and subsidies. In intermunicipal settings, the expert assessment of the citizens' report should be carried out in advance by an intermunicipal preparatory body. The Policy and Administration Strategy Meeting is of particular importance in intermunicipal settings: a common vision is created and synergy effects are made possible. The municipalities are not alone in implementing the recommendations.
Participants: mayors, municipal councilors and representatives from the administration, representatives of the Citizens' Assembly.
Question: expert analysis: who is the target audience? Which recommendations can be implemented politically by the municipalities, which require additional actors? What is to be addressed to the citizens? What vision does the political body and administration have? What framework conditions, laws, rules, initiatives or subsidies are needed? What are the next steps? Which synergy effects are useful?
Goals: Develop binding change through rules, laws, policy initiatives and funding. Examine the recommendations for key players and feasibility. Identify synergy potential in intermunicipal settings. Decide on the next steps. Provide initial feedback to the CItizens' Assembly participants.
